Did you know that Barcelona has it's own version of the Arch the Triumph, like in Paris, as well as a fountain that rivals Rome's Trevi fountain? This is what we found out when we spent a day in the Parc de la Ciutadella and surrounding area. This is a very nice park near the Picasso Museum with some interes

ting scupltures, pretty garden areas, and these two features. After days of walking all over Barcelona, we needed to slow down. So we spent a very peaceful afternoon parked on a shady bench in front of this fountain and drank ice cold slushies while we read (or occasionally napped :). I actually managed to finish the 800+ page book for my next book club meeting (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - which was a very good book by the way!)
